In 1962 95% of Australian doctors were members of the AMA. It is currently hovering somewhere around 25%. While the BMA’s current membership rate around 60%.
…There exists significant differences in positions taken by the respective Associations in relation to poorly evidenced treatments and even basic human anatomical and gender terminology. A few examples:
• Gender Affirming Care
AMA: Supports and advocates gender-affirming care for trans children.
BMA: Will conduct its own "evidence-led" evaluation
• What is Woman?
AMA: Defines "woman" as all individuals who identify as women.
BMA: Follows the ‘Equality Act 2010’ that defines a women as per her biological sex.
• What is Man?
AMA: An adult who identifies their gender as male
BMA: The presence of a Y chromosome and male reproductive organs.
• Can a man assigned male at birth get pregnant?
AMA: Acknowledges that pregnancy can occur across a diversity of genders.
BMA: Persons assigned male at birth (AMAB)cannot become pregnant
Great article by Sandra P. What a brilliant point she makes about conversion practices being enacted by the enforcers of gender ideology. So true. Every time we’re pressured to use “preferred” (aka compelled) pronouns, we’re being subjected to conversion practices.
As for health professionals’ right to free expression, it’s perfectly clear: if you agree with the gender ideologues who now run all our institutions, you’re entitled to your opinions. If you don’t, you will be professionally crucified.

Good luck pursuing it. It’s a great strategy to highlight the hypocrisy and toxicity of this scourge. I’m a health professional too but am having to adopt a nom de plume as I’ve had a deranged trans activist try to destroy my career.
I am. I’m basically retired which is why I was using my real name online till recently but this activist was coming after me anyway, so I cancelled my retired status registration with two professional bodies rather than afford him the opportunity to complain about my heresy and have me deregistered. I’m still scared he might find out where I live, so am in hiding online.
I’m working now in an area where I don’t need a professional background but can still help people. I still know lots of health professionals. Most are too scared to admit they don’t believe in this nonsense.
Trans activists and allies are truly like the Maoist Red Guards—they believe it’s a crime simply to refuse to believe in gender ideology. Their rage is bottomless. If they could arrange an inquisition, they would definitely do it!
In the end it will take lay politician legislators to protect future vulnerable minors from the intervention of the medical component of G.A.C. whilst medical professionals and their institutions, have utterly failed to not “ do no harm”. The result of a perfect storm of a cohort of vulnerable children and a largely feminized workforce, steeped in narcissistic compassion, and social activism, convinced of their virtue
I agree a lot of the female health care workforce exhibit either narcissistic compassion or simply blind compassion, but if we look at where this lunacy came from, as in who imposed it, we’re talking about the unholy alliance of US-based billionaire autogynephiles, transhumanists and medical/pharma magnates who used their money and power to basically buy or ideologically corrupt politicians, hospitals and academic institutions. Most of them aren’t female but yes, far too many women have gone along with it, which I find inexcusable.
The demographic of young empathetic ( biological) female clinicians in clinical leadership roles, in children’s gender clinics, with personality traits high in consciousness and agreeableness, who are quite intolerant of challenge demonstrates how pesky biology, just keeps it’s influence inescapably palpable
Does high agreeableness correlate with conformity and a lack of critical thinking skills? I would have thought that conscientiousness translates into concern for ethics and evidence, but I admit I don’t know enough about the Big Five personality traits.
Determinants of behavioral patterns will be a product of two unrelated metrics. Innate intelligence component and personality traits. The former will be largely responsible for the subset of clinicians under discussion, to have obtained their post graduate medical qualifications, which, alone, is no mean feat , but then how they apply the knowledge and skills will be influenced by their personality. The contribution of high levels of agreeableness would make for more susceptibility to “ group think” and a high level of consciousness, whilst facilitating their academic success and driving their seeking clinical leadership roles, could be contributory to an increased risk of an adoption of a “ therapeutic saviour “ role. The medically trained clinicians who are providing the medical intervention component of G.A.C. have each made a conscious decision to be more offended by truth than by ideology, which decision will be a product of their personality, unrelated to innate intelligence. Pesky biology has been a key player.
