I reference an article from ‘HCP Live’ of September 3rd, 2021 titled:

‘Mortality Rate Much Higher for Transgender People’

The study involved 4,568 adult transgender people, 2,927 and 1,641 men all whom had attended the gender identity clinic at Amsterdam University Medical Centre (UMC).

A total of 317 (10.8%) transgender women and 44 (2.7%) transgender men died during the duration of the study, which equated to an overall mortality rate of 628 deaths per 100,000 people per year.

In comparison to men in the general Dutch population, the mortality risk was nearly double among transgender women and was nearly triple in comparison to cis women (ratios of 1.8 and 2.8, respectively).

I hope this article and Gary’s comments in the Australian might be the start of many more prominent Medical Leaders coming forward with the concerns and criticisms of this Medical scandal.

And it is about time that the AMA and the RACP rescinded their support as well.

I agree this will be remembered as the greatest Medical Scandal of the 21st century and certainly in my lifetime which is a lot longer.

Agree and am puzzled that not more paediatricians who regard themselves as child advocates do not acknowledge that the management of gender dysphoria is commonly not based on well established scientific evidence.

I reference a study of April 2nd 2024, titled :

‘Risk of Suicide and Self-Harm Following Gender-Affirmation Surgery’

. . . . The purpose of the study was to assess the risk of adverse outcomes, specifically suicide, death, self-harm, and PTSD in the five years following gender-affirmation surgery compared with a study control group that consisted of patients ages 18 to 60 who had no history of gender-affirmation surgery but had a hospital emergency visit.

Outcomes following gender-affirmation surgery (Cohort A) vs. no history of gender-affirmation surgery (Cohort B).

SUICIDE ATTEMPTS: Cohort A: 3.50% Cohort B: 0.3%

DECEASED: Cohort A: 4.9% Cohort B: 1.50%

SUICIDE or SELF HARM: Cohort A: 4.5% Cohort B: 0.5%

PTSD: Cohort A: 9.2% Cohort B: 1.2%

and we are told:

The RCH Gender Service aims to improve the physical and mental health outcomes of children and adolescents who are trans or gender diverse

It’s great that the Oz publishes your articles but frustrating that it still rejects reasonable comments such as this:

He said it was “one of the worst medical scandals for a long, long time”, perhaps worse than the post-war lobotomy scandal, because gender medicalisation was affecting an exponentially increasing number of the very young around the world.
I agree and it is about time that the AMA and the RACP rescinded their support for this “treatment”.

I don’t understand that.

And several combinations and permutations of the same comment. Infuriating. Quoting from their published article and agreeing with it and still rejected!!
