Virtually every principle enshrined in the practice of medicine to ensure safety and efficacy is being ignored in the nonsensical belief that gender is a matter of choice. It is not, and history will not be kind to those who have promoted and practiced this nonsense.

Yes, and thanks to Senator Claire Chandler for raising the issue. This is a good issue to persist with.

I did not know ACON was modelled on Stonewall. It boggles my mind that the taxpayer funded ACON has became a TRA group which is free to push the boundaries in any way they like. Also, why are they still called ACON?

ACON has claimed that none of their taxpayer funding was spent on the TransHub website. It seems to me that ACON’s primary focus is on the TQ, not the LGB, and I’d be surprised if its new role as a de facto national trans activist body consumes no taxpayer-funded resources.

The patent medicine always involves fraud somewhere.

What is meant by “patent medicine”? I associate it with the Wild West.

"Patent medicine" is older than the United States, but the Wild West was in fact exactly the sort of place where it was most profitable. One of the great ironies of the golden age of patent medicines is that Temperance activists would often attend the shows, make a great deal of their desire to end alcoholism, and then consume their purchased "cures" containing various drugs and poisons in a suspension of, yes, ~40 percent alcohol. Some of these "cures" were downright dangerous. See "Jake leg" for an example I did not get to in this piece. My point is that when I studied this history, I found lots of resonances with our topic. https://www.thedistancemag.com/p/the-gender-identity-patent-medicine

Yes this is clearly fraud on the Australian taxpayer, aided and abetted by the PBS accepting these prescriptions which are obviously fraudulent and facilitating the fraud by changing the rules.

The doctors ordering these drugs are clearly aware their patients are not entitled to PBS subsidies.

It is interesting to compare the difference between prescribing Authority required Cancer drugs to this farce.

In many instances there are many questions asked and if the wrong answer is given, no approval is given.

And if you lie you can be charged and made to pay back the cost of the drug.

But with Testosterone for primary gonadal disorder which presumes that you have gonads not making enough natural testosterone, hey folks it’s ok, we just won’t mention they are girls or women who never had testes. And they just look the other way.

Looks like the PBS as well as the doctors will be on the hook when the law suits start coming in.
