Thank you for your unrelenting work on this Bernard. Sooner or later RCH and Michelle Telfer will find themselves obliged, probably in a court, to defend their actions.

As detransers step out of the shadows and start bringing law suits against these zealot "affirming care" clinics and doctors, they should think about including their parents as defendants. It is the parents, after all, that allowed this drug and surgery mutilation of their children.

Yes indeed. For all but a few legitimate cases, it's the same parents who take their kids to drag story time. Some parents shouldn't be parents

The statement that “The Royal Children’s Hospital DOES NOT provide or refer children to surgical treatment.” Would seem untrue:

The RCH Gender Service website is readily accessible on the internet.

Therein an extensive document titled ‘The Australian Standards of Care and Treatment Guidelines for trans and gender children and adolescents’ can be found.

On page 17 of that document under the heading:

‘The Roles of the mental health professional in the assessment and ongoing care of adolescents with gender dysphoria item 11 states:

“Counselling of the adolescent and their parents/caregivers on the available options for gender reaffirming procedures such as chest reconstruction WITH REFERRAL WHERE APPROPRIATE.

Note: Adolescence is the phase of life between childhood and adulthood, from ages 10 to 19.

Good point, Vincent. Those RCH standards of care, plus material on the RCH website, clearly contemplated the possibility that surgery would be offered by the hospital itself.

Do some surgeons enjoy performing mastectomies and/or castrations on healthy young people?

Do that have a fetish?

I find it difficult to believe that adults who do this are psychological healthy, emotionally mature etc.
