Britain's highest court ruled on Wednesday that only biological and not trans women meet the definition of a woman under equality laws, a landmark decision greeted with concern by trans supporters but welcomed by the government as bringing clarity. The decision confirms that single-sex services for women such as refuges, hospital wards and sports can exclude trans women, clearing up legal ambiguity. issues.
Dear Bernard, please keep on with your excellent reporting of worldwide Gender Clinic News.
I can depend on you to always have the most current and accurate information. You are doing an invaluable job for the family members of those who have fallen for the transgender cult. Seeing the truth you print; (the good, the bad and the ugly), keeps this grandmother apprised and informed. Lately it seems my prayers are being answered, as I feel I can see changes in what you are reporting. I know this will continue to be a long and hard-fought battle, the enemies are many, and they are deeply entrenched in our societies. Even in America. though the administration changed.
(I am so grateful for the changes so far!) I will keep praying my three young adult grandchildren will someday overcome the harm that has been done to them and by them to their bodies, their lives, and to our whole family. Do you believe as I do, though, that there are more and more positives?
I think developments are moving in the right direction, despite some reversals in some jurisdictions. Every day someone somewhere is seeing flaws & dangers in manifestations of gender ideology, even if they have never heard that term. Truth & reason have not been totally defeated, despite all the madness, or so it seems to me.
I reference recent study that highlights the suicide rate following ‘gender affirmation’. The relevance, scope and merit of the study can be best appreciated reading it in toto. It is easily accessed on the internet:
‘Risk of Suicide and Self-Harm Following Gender-Affirmation Surgery’
Cureus April 2024
Results
Individuals who underwent gender-affirming surgery had a 12.12-fold higher suicide attempt risk than those who did not
Conclusions
The results of this study indicate that patients who have undergone gender affirmation surgery are associated with significantly higher risks of suicide, self-harm, and PTSD compared to general population control groups in this real-world database. With suicide being one of the most common causes of death for adolescent and middle-aged individuals.
In the advice from the NZ department of health to the ministry I note the author's reference for detransition is the heavily critiqued Turban paper. Turban JL, Loo SS, Almazan AN, Keuroghlian AS. Factors Leading to “Detransiton” Among Transgender and Gender Diverse People in the United States: A Mixed-Methods Analysis. LGBT health. 2021.
The author's say "For those who have stopped affirming their gender (whether temporarily or permanently) this is frequently due to external factors, including pressure from family, discrimination, and social stigma."
It's an interesting assessment and I wonder why they chose to quote a resource which no detransitioned person was eligible for and did not quote either the Littman, Vandenbusche (and I think MacKinnon) research specifically on detransition where the reasons for it relate largely to internal factors and issues related to the harshness of cross sex hormones?
BINGO!

Thank you, so very much. Love, Indio

It’s not encouraging.
