The story wouldn’t be a story if reference were made to the fact that there were no evidence base for such an intervention, no suicides and a miserable long-term outcome with high rates of misery, suicide, HIV and early death for those thus ‘saved’.
The capture of the medical institutions to which you refer Vincent, which has facilitated the medical intervention components of G.A.C. has been the result of the “ perfect storm “ of the virtual tsunami of ROGD , predominantly adolescent females’ presentations to a subset of medical clinicians whose rigorous medical training has proven no barrier to a wholesale surrender to narcissistic compassion at best , or deliberate social activism at worst. The demographics of said medical clinicians who hold politically powerful positions i.e., a largely feminized workforce with personality traits , high In agreeableness, consciousness, who are intolerant of challenge , are demonstrably conducive to providing fertile ground for ready acceptance of vulnerable children’s assertion of transgender ideation. Pesky biology , always palpable in human behavior!

I've 'trained'... or rather, moved through 5 GPs, when they prioritised addressing the ideology, over assisting one of my kids out of severe, unrelated health issues.
After gently stating my request (for the GP to get out of the way and not confound normal teenage exploration),
and before we failed to return to them again, I gave the genspect material.
At least one of them I've seen again, to drop into conversation how the 'fad' has dropped away after the 7 years of apparent solid entrenchment.
But I have to say it's easier to just walk and not look back.
