... oh I hope so too. And I'm happy to adopt the hope of such an eminent, courageous, experienced, educated and humble specialist.

Thanks for this reassuring essay. 👍

Dr Glasberg’s suggestion to delay gender-related breast/chest, genital, and facial surgery until a patient is at least 19 years is a non-starter given that around 85% of children desist by the time of puberty.

. . . back to the drawing board for the gender clinics?

Vincent, a rural analogy ( country folk have always been more healthily skeptical) to the process of recalibration of medical intervention, might be thought of it like assisting a cow getting out of a bog ! Hard work but worth the effort?

Most of the young people coming in now are adolescents, not part of the group with prepubertal gender dysphoria (that 85% is for prepubertal children who are not socially transitioned, and once they reach adolescence, not medically transitioned, by the time they reach mature adulthood).

children is used to mean "minor" and "prepubertal" depending on study, unfortunately....

Is there a recording of his full speech at the conference anywhere?

Will probably be released after the conference.

Thanks for the response! Do you know where they plan to release it?

No, just my assumption based on past practice.
