I assume and hope those GP’s prescribing these drugs understand that this make themselves personally liable to claims of medical negligence which I suspect a conservative estimate of damages would come to at least $1 million.

That these doctors think that poisoning and mutilation is the way to treat confused children just makes my scepticism of ‘healthcare’ in Australia grow and grow.

A publicly-funded entity that exists for youth gender transition is stonewalling implementaiton of a ban on gender transition for youth. This is of course insane

Suicide in children with gender dysphoria is extremely rare. I can find no reference to a single case.

There can be little doubt that the highest prevalence of suicide in the gender dysphoria cohort is among those who have undergone gender transition in the past. Numerous studies confirm this fact, I cite two European studies that demonstrate the high suicide and psychiatric comorbidity rate in those who have transitioned some twenty to thirty years in the past:

“Long-Term Follow-Up of Transsexual Persons in Sweden (1973–2023)”

• Key Finding: Individuals who underwent sex reassignment surgery (SRS) exhibited substantially higher risks of mortality, suicidal behaviour, and psychiatric conditions compared to the general population.

“Somatic Morbidity and Cause of Death in Denmark (1978–2010”)

• Key Finding: Among individuals who underwent SRS, somatic morbidity increased from 19.1% pre-surgery to 23.2% post-surgery, with a mortality rate of 9.6%. The average age at death was 53.5 years.

. . . . . As an aside, for those so committed to addressing child suicide in Australia I quote the first line of a paper on the subject printed in Lancet:

“In Australia, in the first month of 2019 alone, five Aboriginal girls, aged 12–15 years, have taken their own lives and a 12-year-old boy is critically ill after attempt suicide. Indigenous children (5–17 years old) in Australia die from suicide at five times the rate of their non-Indigenous peers”.
